SEIU Local 509 members at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) are currently engaged in contract negotiations with their agency.

Due to financial difficulties facing the agency, the bargaining team has decided to postpone seeking wage increases in this contract. Even though the union has worked with management in a difficult time, they have refused to move on the most basic issues of respect and decreasing stress in the work environment.
